Legislative Affairs Manager

The Apex team is expanding our legislative affairs department and is looking for professionals in the DMV area to help us service a wide variety of government and private sector clients.
Brief Job Description:
Communicate, both verbally and written, key strategic messages to Congressional stakeholders
Fulfill information requests from internal and external stakeholders
Develop, disseminate, and transmit materials to Congressional audiences
Support strategic communications partners in the development and execution of proactive Congressional stakeholder engagement strategies
Analyze and evaluate Congressional Affairs' needs to advise agency leadership and other management officials
Coordinate with subject matter experts in the review of materials presented to Congress
Ability to obtain a security clearance

Strategic Communications Specialist

Apex Government Consulting, LLC is in search of a Strategic Communications Specialist with strong communication and organizational skills to support our government and private sector clients.
The Strategic Communications Specialist works closely with and supports federal agency and private sector clients in crating and executing various communications strategies and methods to drive initiative engagement and perception.
Responsibilities
Provide consulting services to clients related to change management and communications in the context of a large-scale systems implementation
Author content to prepare stakeholders to adopt new processes and systems (e.g. emails, presentations, demos, website content, social media content)
Work on client engagements as a part of a delivery team
Be detail oriented, flexible, proactive, and multi-task to quickly adapt to changing client priorities and respond to ad hoc requests
Support project management activities, including routine status reports, quality control, risk analysis and mitigation planning, etc.
Plan, facilitate and generate summaries for stakeholder interviews and focus groups
Requirements
Applicable degree(s): Communications, Business or Policy-related fields
3-5 years of professional experience leading change and communications, preferably supporting DoD military and/ or civilian customers
Experience with client relationship management and reporting
Strong knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills-verbal, written, listening and presentation
Ability to analyze data and present findings in written reports and presentations in a concise manner that is relevant to the intended audience to support decision-making
Experience authoring and building content for websites, presentations, and other communications products in partnership with a graphic designer
Proven record of success as both an individual contributor and team member
Ability to facilitate conversations and ask probing questions to illicit a clear understanding of the client’s problem statement and current state
Ability to work within a self-directed culture and navigate ambiguity
Experience briefing and/or developing briefing materials for Department of Defense leaders at the O-5 and above levels
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Business Analyst

Apex Government Consulting, LLC is in search of a Business Analyst with strong communication skills and organizational skills to support our government and private sectors clients. The Business Analyst works closely with and supports federal agency clients in the planning and implementation of major organizational transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Formulate and define systems' scope and objectives based on both users' needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements
Provide regular reports to program leaders, as required, and engage in strategic analysis to improve the existing business model and workflow management
Assist with operations and maintenance activities on existing projects
Collaborate with subject matter experts within the organization to gather process information and/or requirements
Manage and maintain data tables, crosswalks, collection templates, tools, and dashboards, and participate in data process mapping and improvement projects.
Support facilitation of working groups and sessions, design schedules, conduct analyses, develop models, write reports, prepare presentations, and present results
Requirements:
Applicable degree(s): Accounting, Finance, Business or Policy-related fields
Minimum 2 years of professional experience, preferably supporting DoD military and/ or civilian customers
Experience with client relationship management and reporting
Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and software development methodologies
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Strong knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable dealing with large span of people
Strong communication skills-verbal, written, listening and presentation
Experienced in business process analysis, system analysis and data analysis
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance

Project Manager

The Project Manager shall manage all Contractor employees for OIG/OEI evaluation projects, including tracking labor use, submitting labor reports, and ensuring timely submission of deliverables in accordance with this PWS and contract.
Qualifications:
The Project Manager shall have at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The Project Manager shall have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing large medical review projects focused on evaluation of HHS programs such as Medicare and Medicaid in quality of care and patient safety, preferably experience in working under a similar project as described in this PWS.
The Project Manager shall have knowledge of overall organization, direction, and requirements of the PWS efforts. The Project Manager shall possess the ability to interface directly with Government designated representatives. The Project Manager shall have knowledge about the program acquisition life cycle process. The Project Manager shall have knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) regulations, requirements, policies, and procedures, cost and schedule estimating, systems disciplines. Or the Project Manager shall have a Master’s degree from an accredited academic institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, with up to a minimum of four (4) years of experience working under a similar project as described in this PWS.
The Project Manager shall have basic computer skills, including database entry, management, and analysis using Access, Excel, and applications such as the OIG-developed Medical Review Tracker (MRT).
